Bookkeeping and payroll, kept current every month
We keep your books up to date, pay your people correctly and send every remittance on time, so tax time is a formality and you always know where your money is.
Bookkeeping
Full-cycle bookkeeping means every transaction, from the day it happens to the year-end, recorded and reconciled.
- Bank and credit card transactions categorised and reconciled monthly
- Accounts receivable: invoices tracked, overdue customers flagged
- Accounts payable: bills recorded and scheduled so nothing's paid late, or twice
- HST collected and paid tracked as you go
- Monthly profit and loss and balance sheet you can actually read
- Works in QuickBooks Online or Xero [confirm software]
Payroll
Weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly. You approve the hours; we handle the rest.
- Pay runs with CPP, EI and income tax deductions calculated correctly
- Pay stubs for your employees
- Source deduction remittances to the CRA, on time
- WSIB premiums reported and paid [if registered]
- T4, T4A and T5 slips and summaries at year-end
- Records of Employment (ROE) when someone leaves

Behind on the books?
Catch-up bookkeeping is where most new clients start. We rebuild past months or years from bank statements, get everything reconciled, and then keep you current going forward. Clean books are also the first step to filing late HST or corporate returns.
Signs your books need help
- You find out how the year went when your accountant tells you in April.
- Your bank balance is the only number you look at.
- You've paid a CRA penalty for a late HST return or remittance.
- Receipts live in a glovebox, a drawer, and three email inboxes.
- You're not sure whether a customer has paid you.
If two of these sound like you, monthly bookkeeping will pay for itself in time saved and penalties avoided.
Payroll mistakes that cost small employers
Paying staff as contractors when they're employees.
If the CRA decides someone is really an employee, you can owe the CPP and EI you didn't deduct, plus penalties. We'll help you get it right from the start.
Late remittances.
Source deductions are due by the 15th of the following month for most small employers. Late payments carry penalties even if you're only a few days over.
Missing T4s.
Slips for every employee are due by the end of February, and late slips are penalised per slip. We file them for you every year.
